A message for everyone whom I've worked with at MCA Music...:) My last Project: THE POWERPOP SUPERSTARS!

(WARNING: CONTENTS BELOW IS TOO MUSHY AND VERY LONG)

So I'm down to my second to the last day...less than 48 hours and I'm off to a new adventure. "Parting is such sweet sorrow..." as Shakespeare would say. There have been a lot of lessons, a lot of experiences and most importantly, a lot of people who have taught so much in almost 3 years. Knowing me, who has jumped from one job to another (This is my 6th job technically), it's already a huge leap for me to have stayed for a long period of time. It was hella nice to have been able to stay at stable ground in an industry that I have loved since I was a kid. Now, I'm very excited though a bit anxious on what kind of adventure I'll delve into next.

To the fans of the artists I handled, 4Nias, B2uties, MCareyph, Tokio Hotel Street Team, Mileynatics, Taylor SwiftPh, Jonas BrothersPH, Selena Gomez PH, Beliebers, Owl City PH, Lady Gaga fans (there are just so many opf you haha!) thank you all! You guys brought life and success to the artists you support! I also found friends in most of you and I can now finally act and be a full-blooded fan! :) Yey! :) Can't wait to watch some rock shows or concerts with you all! X's MORE POWER TO BEST! SOOOO BEST! I'll miss you all calling me "ate choy" :( or just choy hehe...

To my dear friends outside the Philippines, Universal Music Group, Cube, Disney...I never thought that I would find friends and acquiantances in other parts of the world! I'll be missing all your emails and visits!:) Hope I get to visit your countries soon too! Won't ever forget you! :)

Lastly, to my MCA Music family including all our promo girls / boys in all music stores, as well as to those who have left MCA Music already but is still well within the industry...THANK YOU! It was great to have spent almost everyday with all of you! Thank you for sticking by me through ups and downs, boo boos and successes, laughters and frustrations, stress and relaxation. What I appreciate most are the personal encounters we had together, those that did not involve work...Thank you very very much! I just live near the office AND the warehouse for that matter so I'm pretty sure I'll still be seeing all of you! I would also like to take this chance to say this...I'm really grateful that we are all able to part ways on a positive light. I guess it just made work extra exciting and challenging at the same time. I must say that I really matured and I gained a lot of lessons during those experiences. Thank you for making me see the bigger picture in things and for giving me foresight in all I do. Thank you so much!!!

I would also like to say thank you to my family and friends. During my stay at MCA Music I know I wasn't able to spend as much time with you all but either way you still understood. Thank you so much for supporting me in my musical endeavour. :)

I would also like to raise a prayer to the most high! I know ever since I was a kid I've been praying for a chance to work for music. Thank you for blessing me with the MCA experience and for answering my prayer. I can't wait for your next plans for me! Rest assured that I will continue to love music because it is one of the greatest gift you've ever given us!

After that long message of gratitude, there's no better way to cap off my music experience with a project that features the three greatest artists of MCA Music! My last project: The Powerpop Superstars! Starring Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift! Hope you can tune in to your favorite radio stations today for the radio tour of the campaign. We will be giving out Sterling notebooks of the Powerpop Superstars, Polaroid Pogo mobile printers and signed stuff from Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift themselves! To do a parody of Spiderman's infamous line,"With Great powers, Come Great Responsibility...MCA Music through these Power Pop Superstars tell everyone, "With Great hits come, Great albums!"

MY SECOND TO THE LAST PROJECT...MONSTER'S HEARTBEATS!

My second to the last project with MCA Music is Lady Gaga's Heartbeats! Will have the Lady Gaga hour on Magic 89.9 Boys Night Out and will have Mon of Eleksis get interviewed by the Boys. Got the privilege to try this out as well as Beats Tour thanks to Eleksis and may I say that these pairs of headphones definitely upgraded my music experience!

I recommend listening to N.E.R.D. or Snow Patrol or even Yanni with these headphones. Just choose bass rich or synth rich tunes and you'll be amazed on how you can isolate each element of a song because of the clarity the headphones provides.

I've been working for Lady Gaga's album here in the Philippines for almost two years now and she has brought me experiences in the music industry that I won't ever forget. Because of her album, The Fame, I was able to experience a fashion show, a full concert, tie-ups with several brands and now, her album gave me the chance to experience music in another level via Heartbeats.

It's bittersweet that after so much work, I'll be finally saying goodbye to Lady Gaga's album. But I am excited in a way that I will finally get to listen to her music without having to think how it would sell or how it would appeal to her audience. It's time to think about my own appreciation of Lady Gaga not for anything else but for my own musical enjoyment.

Cheers to my second to the last project with MCA Music and kudos for Monster for creating such efficient ear speakers. Hope someday I could try Beats Solos or Beats Studios, so I can enjoy a mini-concert in my own room. All I have to do is plug-in Beats and close my eyes and imagine that I'm at a rock show. It would take a lot of internalization but it's definitely close to the real thing.

4Nias and B2uties!

Had a blast during the BEAST promo tour despite some minor unfortunate incidents with some Koreans. It's bittersweet that it is my last major project with MCA Music but the memories of what has happened in my K-pop experience will surely live on. Friendships were formed and I felt younger again. My personal fanatisism wasn't only about the artists involved. I loved to get involved because I knew it formed a connection with some of the coolest people I know,and I know that even if I don't have to work for K-pop anymore, I shall always consider these people as friends whom I can keep in touch with through 4minute.ph / beast.ph.

So this may sound mushy and all but I would like to thank everyone for the help that they have given to make 4minute and BEAST a success. Hope your support won't fade even after the launch of several other fandoms here in the country and abroad. The people at Cube are the nicest bunch of personalities I have met in the industry. No wonder they have artists that have good personalities as well, the kind of artists who shop at convenience stores to buy cheap stuff (HyunA) and the kind of artists who put straws in Jollibee softdrink cups to serve to everyone in the room regardless of who they are (YoSeop).

I will surely miss the dozens of teenagers calling me "ate choy" and I will surely miss looking out for them as well. MCA Music will have bigger artists lined up (one of them involving 2 Tears) and this is definitely something to watch out for. Rest assured that aside from album sales, everything shall be done in the name of good, pure K-pop music - a genre that unites people from all ages and backgrounds, regardless of what language is spoken.

Will always have your lit up faces engraved in my memory at the time when you've met 4minute and Beast in person:)

What is Chopseuy Combo

My name is Choy, and this is my attempt to publicize myself and see if I end up interesting. I've tried starting blogs in the past but I usually end up forgetting my username and password so i stop. Now with this new one, I made sure I'd remember it. I've written my username and password on my sticky notes on my desktop and emailed it to myself (other than the confirmation e-mail that I got) for me to remember. I am also in search of a good friend / acquaintance who can remember it for me. Right now, my choices are down to five. You may know who you are.

Why Chopsuey Combo? Chopsuey is actually one of my favorite dishes - a fact not known to many. Most acquaintances brand me as a chocoholic or a joyful chicken eater (yes, I'm pertaining to Chicken Joy or any kind of chicken for that matter). When I eat Chopsuey I feel like I eat healthy because when I eat it, I indulge in a mixture of all the essential vegetables that I should put in my mouth daily. This kind of mixture is what I would like to impart. I might blab about nonsense and a tonload of different things all at the same time, but I assure you that with every post, you'll find yourself having that healthy feeling. (if that even makes sense).

I'll try to give out some of my stuff for would be readers (if there's any). I'll try to put useful information. I'll try not to step on any foot. I'll try to offer price worthy items here. I'll try to help people make choices by making reviews. I'll try, I'll try, I'll try...geez that's a lot of trials for a first post. But, take note, I didn't say promise. Well, maybe I can make one promise...I promise I'LL TRY the very best I can to make this blog worthwhile (yihaa).

So it's five a.m. now. I woke up too early. I am now accompanied with a harmony of chickens doing their morning hobby - waking people up with their annoying crows. I've been living in the same house for more than a decade and it's only now that I realize there's a lot of chickens within our vicinity. If only I can eat them all now so they can be silent! (wahihihi!). But I guess it's too late for me to try to fall asleep again. Tomorrow is a big day at work. I have less than 2 weeks to complete my duties at MCA Music and weigh my options on what I want to do next. I've read once that the perfect way to make a decision is to keep yourself busy and focus on the present and try to ignore the future - whoever said that has no foresight and is afraid of stress.

Finally! I'm starting to get sleepy, I feel a yawn coming...okay done! I yawned! I guess there's still hope for my restless self. Until my next post that hopefully happens tomorrow. Good Morning world! Hello Tuesday! :)
