THINGS YOU CAN DO IN 30 SECONDS WHEN YOU'RE AT WAR IN MARS: A tribute to 30 Seconds to Mars' album This is War

It's been a while since I bought an album off a record store. Aside from Charice's record, (which I bought to support Pinoy Pride), I recently bought 30 Seconds to Mars' new album,
This is War which is just the grandest and most impactful record I've heard in a long time. Jared Leto was indeed serious when he said he wanted the album to sound like a film. In an interview, they even narrated that Jared placed a sign on the studio door stating, "We are not here to do what has been done before".

The album is like nothing else...it's a story unfolding with every track with a sound so thick, it makes you want to hear it over and over again to reach different levels of appreciation. I personally can't get enough of the crowd chants and stomping. The lyrics in itself convey a message that the world is indeed at war and it's time for us to raise our arms in an effort to bring peace and unity amongst diversity. Watch the music videos and you'll get what I mean...

To pay tribute to such a wondrous creation, I thought of a war happening in Mars where we are at battle with Martians since the Earth is no longer liveable because we destroyed it with our selfish and greedy ways. Here are some things you can initially do in 30 seconds when we're at war in Mars from the top of my wierd head.

- Text "K" when someone asks you if you're alright during the war
- Test the air in Mars. If it's not suitable for human life, then you can do the next thing...
- Die
- If it is suitable for human life, then you can sigh Whew!
- If all else fails and 30 seconds is all you have, then maybe you can just PRAY

That's all I can think of for now. I would like to thank Van for re-introducing them to me. I look forward to the day when we get to see them live and we are inside moshpits and screaming our lungs out as we go to war with 30 Seconds to Mars! I want those tour tshirts and hoodies!

Damn it feels good to simply love music again! :)
